For more than 30 years, the Central Virginia Health Planning Agency (CVHPA) has been a leader in planning for the health of Central Virginia’s communities while also advocating for the interests of all of Virginia’s health care consumers. The CVHPA is a non-profit organization designated by the State of Virginia to represent the 27 cities and counties of Central Virginia by providing input on health resource decisions, as well as regional health planning information and expertise.

• Provides professional health planning assistance to assess community needs, support health improvement initiatives, & analyze health issues.
• Shares information about local, state, and national health-related developments and resources to support informed decision-making.
• Promotes community participation in health decisions.
